Life's ups and downs

Well it has been WAY WAY WAY to long since I have written.  So much has went on, and frankly I didn't have many positive things to say until Nov.  I decided I needed to go ahead and move on and live my life happy!!  So, I am! hehe

It's the holidays, and although some major things have happened and changed I am grateful.  I am grateful that I have a wonderful family, and a home, warm bed, food, clothes. etc.  It's ALMOST Christmas break!!  I CAN'T WAIT!!!  I am going to do some much needed reading, relaxing, relaxing, reading, relaxing... have I mentioned relaxing?????  Ok.. just checkin!  I am starting to warm up to the fact it's almost Christmas, and it really hasn't been cold.  I frankly NEED the cold to be able to deal with the heat in Oklahoma!!  And, the last few years hasn't been acceptable!!  I am almost done Christmas shopping~~~~~WOW I just said that!!  Hahahahahaha  However, I will leave last minute things to do so I can sneak off and do some retail therapy during this season!!

News

It has been a crazy crazy week around here! But, the weather is sooooo nice and cool!  So, I made homemade chicken and noodles this evening for supper!  Man they were good!!  So, tomorrer(Luke'ism) I am making pumpkin bread, and sweet potato bread.  Yummo with my coffee!

In other news..... I bought an iPat(Luke'ism) last week. However, the iPat has been in Luke's  possession for a lot of this time playing his games.  Those things are so cool.  I remember when I first used a computer.. it was a long time ago!! LOL

More news:  Next weekend starting Friday morning Luke and I are going to Branson with my parents, and some great friends!  Luke, myself, and our friends will be riding some rides!  My parent's are chickens!! Haha I need a good adrenaline rush..it's long over due... really long over due... I really wish the hubby didn't have to work and could go.  Boo!

More news cont'd:  LOL Well since I have been taking care of my grandma she has commented several times about how good of a cook I am.  At first I just thought she was being nice... but it keeps happening.  I mean DUH Kristy... I learned from the 3 best cooks EVER... So, she LOVES my sweet potato bread.. I was in shock the other day when she told me it was past due for her to get some.  So, after I get her settled in the morning I will be whipping up some of that and pumpkin bread!!  I LOVE to bake.... especially for people I care about!! ;)))  Well I am off to relax!! Have a great weekend!! Oh and BOOMER SOONER!!!

Squirrel

It's fall... FINALLY!!  The cooler weather has prompted the animals to get ready for winter.  The dogs are getting their winter coats, and the squirrels are preparing for winter.  I have 4 squirrels in my back yard.  They make me laugh on a daily basis.  I know little things amuse me!!  Hehehe  As I was watching them this morning bury their nuts 1 squirrel is SERIOUS about it's food.  No really... SERIOUS!!  Hahaha Anytime one of the other squirrels come near his buried treasure he goes all ninja squirrel (well as well as a fat squirrel can).  It's quite comical actually.  Yesterday it was fighting with one of the other squirrels.. like rolling around, chasing each other fighting.  I was cracking up!! LOL  Well this morning this squirrel had 3 nuts and it was in the process of burying it all when another squirrel stole 1 from it. I have not seen that fat squirrel move so fast!!  OH MY GOSH... Now that was some funny stuff!!!  I was snorting because I was laughing so hard.. did I just say I snorted... OH MY!!  LOL So after catching the other squirrel they proceeded to fight.  I am pretty sure that other squirrel was just picking a fight(BULLY squirrel).  Anyway, if you need a good laugh come watch my squirrels!!  HAHAHA

Jack of all trades & ER visit!!

Well boys and girls you can say I have tried my hand at many jobs in my life.  One thing I have learned over the years is that I LOVE the medical field, and law enforcement field.  And, most recently I have started selling ThirtyOne (am now addicted to this stuff).  If you haven't looked at or haven't had bought anything from them you are missing out!!  I am addicted~~I have a weakness for bags and purses... a terrible addiction... my husband hates it... Coach is my other obsession. LOL Ok.. I never thought in a million years I would love selling this stuff as much as do this!! I don't ever get to excited over systems like this.. but this is well... on a rating scale... compared to the Twilight series... neck to neck!!!  Did I just say I love the Twilight series.. oopps.. lol not really.. NOW.. Ya gotta love those middle of the night, freak out, take your kid to the ER visits.  NOT... Rob and I went to get in bed last night, and every night no matter what time we take Luke to the bathroom before bed.  I go to get him up, and he is COVERED in a rash... OMG... welps, rash, red.. we got a little scared.  He was fine when we put him to bed, and boom.. a matter of a couple of hours, and oh my!! My uncle almost died a few times (literally) from allergic reactions to nuts.  Then another thought... SPIDER bite.. We killed a big 'ole nest of fiddle back(brown recluse for you non Okies) spiders a couple of weeks ago.. So, we threw clothes on us all and off we went.  That was the fastest, most reliving visit to the ER ever!!  Thank goodness that it wasn't a bite, and we really have no idea as to what it was!! But, he is fine today.  But, he got to stay home and rest from school today(he isn't happy about it)... MY kid is mad cause he didn't have to go to school... WHOA Ok.. that is all for now!!

WHOA... I graduate in May!! MAY......OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!  It's coming quick... and I am not ready.. ok I am ... maybe not ....  Ok I am whew.. got a little scared there!  I am going to be able to hire, fire, train, and all kinds of good stuff and not so good stuff. Ha.

So, really I am a little scared to graduate!  I am terribly nervous about all this!!  What if I don't like it?  What if I they don't like me (ok I am in Human Resources duh)?

With all this coming to play, the absolute craziness of everything around me, and my family Rob and I are ready for a vacation away!!  We LOVE our child.. but face it.. You can't bring your kid to Mexico.. You just can't!! HAHAHA My hiney along with the hubby's hiney will be placed in the sand with pretty little drinks with umbrellas for me, and "manly" alcohol for the hubby, and lots of sleep, book reading... shopping (DID SOMEONE SAY S.H.O.P.P.I.N.G.)!!! If any of my wonderful friends would like to join us you may..just NO kids allowed on this trip gang!!  I need to rest!! ;)

OH and 1 more thing!!  I HEART me some FFA Blue & Gold Sausage & Chicken!!!!  That is what was for dinner the past 2 nights!! LOL YUMMO!!!

Boys Will Be Boys!!!

Let me explain the first 3 photos and we will go from there.  As well all know boys will be boys!!  Kinda like boys and their toys.  Boys have small toys when they are little but, as they get older the "toys" get bigger.  Now keep in mind we have a 4 yr. and a 65 year old in these photos.  So the range of toys are huge!  I think my dad gets bored easily.  I mean when you have worked your entire life, and all of a sudden you have your kids/employees doing it for you; you get bored! And, when your 4yr. old grandson likes "toys" just as much you and can vocalize his opinion there is no telling you what can happen.  Luckily for my momma their second grandson can't talk yet or there is no telling what might happen!  Lord knows what will happen when there are more babies added(HAHAHA).  So, apparently Luke convinced Pa to buy the truck, and these are the photos that transpired out of it.  Luke & Pa had a BLAST!!

NOW... the last picture.  This is what I had to look at and figure out... OH MY.. that was the worst day ever..ok maybe not.. yes it was... maybe... maybe not.  Ok.. We had no air conditioner, I was HOT, doing homework, and dealing with the irrigation pump timer not working.  Sooooo the hubby was exhausted, and he put me in charge of the timer.  Ok for starters I have technically have NEVER set the speed, the timer(it's easy to get), or anything that goes along with this.  So, about 1 in the morning I set out on this adventure.  The hubby explained what the knob looked like, which rod to turn, etc.. So, I went and got er done.. well so I thought... ooopppssss.  So about 15 minutes later I go to get on the 4 wheeler, go look only to realize I never did it right.. back to the house I go NOT wanting to eat crow and wake up the hubby.  But, at that point I had to do it... I was about to pass out from exhaustion and heat stroke.. ok not really but it felt like it.

Oklahoma weather is well......Imagine Mother Nature in a permanent bad mood.  It's hot one...cold the next...windy and losing everything off your porch kinda bad mood.  It's September and still in the upper 90's.  Guess what happened Friday????  Oh wait for it.... My AIR CONDITIONER DIED, and took my ceiling fan in my living room with it.  Luckily it didn't take my TV with it.  When your air conditioner dies when you live in Oklahoma it's never a good thing!! ******SIGH****** It's ok though.  We will get through it... I hope... ok we will... well maybe.... it's supposed to 74 Thursday... we will make it....

In leu of a friend's blog postings the last few days(which is on my list here) I have been catching myself pronouncing things in my head( OK I am not losing it).  I remember when I was in New York OMG they made fun of me so bad!  I just laughed and said ya'll say stuff weird(in my most redneck voice ever).  We say yes and say ma'am... oh ok I am back.  Well we do!! That was one of the first few words we were taught. Yes ma'am, no ma'am, yes sir, no sir.  It's respect..just a little bit... sorry drifted off again.  Ok I am done for tonight.  I think the heat is getting to me!! LOL I'm gonna go take a cold shower!!!  Peace!!

Fall, Football, Fun

Saturday was the opening season of football!!! WHOOP WHOOP!!! It was a great day indeed!!  My sooners won but it was ugly!! OSU won and it was ugly!! So, with this out in the air... Football season = FALL IS COMING SOON!!  In high hopes it cools off!  School started, and it has been busy crazy central around here.  I am not real sure that things will ever slow down.  LOL

 I have 2 friends that now have foreign exchange students in their homes, and are having a great experience!!  I am so happy that these 2 boys got the families they did.  They are awesome people and will have a great time.

Well went to the doctor yesterday because of some muscle cramping I am having.  Good news is that it isn't serious.  Bad news(well maybe not; yes, no,) I guess I am torn on that lol.  I have to quit drinking so much caffeine and change my eating habits, and lose some weight.  I know it's a good thing(**BIG** sigh) but it's not gonna be easy for this meat and potato girl.  Ok changing the subject. That's depressing :)

Our son is a well a little(ok A LOT) ornery.  I take him to school this morning and he gets into his classroom, and hangs his head, and looks like he is going to cry.  So, me being a typical mother(I will fill you in on this in a min) picks him up and says baby what's wrong?  Do you not want to stay today?(prob not the best idea) He lays his head on my shoulder, and then turns to look at me and was laughing(OMG seriously???).  I was about to start crying and he is laughing... he is his DADDY'S child.  I ask him what his deal was and said he wants MA(grandma) to pick him up from school.... I am sooooooo glad I didn't cry cause that woulda been so embarrassing!!  LOL  So, I was telling my momma(Ma) at breakfast what had transpired at school this morning.  Of COURSE my dad(Pa) tells me to just take him out of school and bring him to him so he can drive the semi's, and go to Arkansas with him(he is going Saturday with him lol).  Dad did NOT want me to send him to school and wants me to go get him everyday(oh my). Soooo my momma says firmly(mind you she doesn't tell Luke no... for real... EVER) you need to just tell him NO(yep that came out of her mouth) that he has to stay at school.  This is coming from the one who kinda cried a little when we dropped him off the first day of school.  She told me to just not pick up or make him think that's ok(such a hard core grandparent(PLEASE) LOL LOL.  Ok I gotta quit laughing at her b/c she will beat me(I ain't sceerreeed) hehehehe

Well gotta go and see what today has in store(I have a feeling it involves cleaning, a nap, and maybe some homework).  Have a great day!! :)))

Separation Anxiety!!

Here it goes!!  With all the devastation in the state of Oklahoma right now.  The fires, the loss of land, homes, etc, the arsonist setting the fires, the arsonist being caught on our property(talk about anxiety attack), my family possibly being evacuated out of our homes, my baby boy starting Pre-K on the 20th, and and and and momma starting her last year of college(YAY FOR ME) =======>>>>> A big 'ole blubbering baby today!! And, the fact that school supplies for a Pre-K student is over 60 bucks!! That should not be like that!!

Now separation anxiety=====UUUHHHHHH I have been home with our son most of his life.  For 3 years he has been with me everyday and now I have to share him???!!!!!  I DON'T LIKE IT!!!  I know he needs and has to be in school but this momma doesn't wanna let go and let him grow up!!  But, the facts of life sometimes sucks!!!  

I had to let out a big sigh today, and get on with it!!  But, I don't to like it!!

So, for the blubbering baby today I may have to have a Dr. Pepper!!  Ya know kind of a security!!

Oklahoma has been burning!!

As most of you are aware by now Oklahoma is burning.  It has been burning since last week.  This is the work of an arsonist!!  The problem is they have NO IDEA who it is.  They keep getting descriptions but with no luck as to who. And, the person has been setting them everyday!!  UGH!! The person came out to our place and I thankfully scared them off.  They saw me and took off way to suspiciously for me to not think it was them.  Ironically a fire started 4 miles from our home about 1hr. later.

I have worked in law enforcement most of my life and this has caused much distress.  I am an emotional person, and get very excited when something like this happens.  And, it being so close to home has got very worried!!!  Hopefully this person will stop!!

Cupcakes, Bread, and Birthday!!!

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!

Well I am officially a year older today!! Can't believe it's already been a year!!  It has flown by!! Have I mentioned I am married to the most amazing man ever?! Well I am!  As I have said before I LOVE to cook and bake!! I have wanted a kitchen aid mixer for a VERY LONG time!!  Well guess what I got for my birthday(you prob. have already guessed)?? Yep he got me a kitchen aid mixer!!  I jumped up and down, screamed, and almost cried when I opened it last night!!  He is AMAZING and he kept the secret for 2 1/2 months(and he tortured me the whole time)!! Hahaha I ask my son what he wants me to make with it first and guess what he said(DUH ON MY PART)?!!  Cupcakes!!  So, I am going to surprise him with orange and black cupcakes(It's hard on me to do things like this considering I am an OU fan & they are OSU fans)!!  The things we do for our kids and spouses!!  Now, I want some nice and warm homemade bread!!  So, I am almost sure that will be on my list this week too!! LOL Everyone will prob. gain 50 pounds by the time I get over my excitement!!  Hahaha

I never knew how cool these things are!  They have pasta, ice cream, meat grinder, and I am sure much more attachments for this thing!!  I am mainly concerned with the ice cream maker.  I am gonna save my money and get one of those!!  We love ice cream!! Haha

Unsure of what to call this one!

It's Friday night!  I am lost in thoughts as my guys play football on xbox.  I can't help but think of years ago.  Things were so simple!  No bills, nothing but time, and being young.  As I get older I reminisce more and more.  I have lost so many people close to me(not just in death).  I realize people change, and life happens.  But, you can't help but wonder how other people you once loved and cherished every moment with them are doing.  I can't help but think about a friend of mine whom I haven't seen in a very long time.  She has been my best friend since kindergarten.  I miss her!!  For reasons beyond my own control we don't get to see each other.  I wish that would change.  But, I LOVE my life, and love my bestest friends I have now.  I don't want to ever lose them!!  I just like to think about those years every now and then!! 


NOW.. I bought a carpet cleaner(well my mommy bought it for upcoming birthday.. hey priorities as adults kinda suck and we resort to using our birthdays to get things we wouldn't normally buy ourselves...face it) and I spent 5 hours cleaning carpets(and the hubby moved furniture, and piddled, and the kiddo well how do I put it thinks he helped.. hehehe) and our carpets are so clean we could eat off of them(I swear I will scream and lock myself in a rubber room if they spill something on it)!!  My back hurts, my kitchen looks like a war zone, my other floors are sticky, my laundry basket threw up all over the place, and my back hurts(have I mentioned that?).  OH and I have mentioned it rained(SERIOUSLY?????????)  I haven't cleaned my carpets in well a long time and the ONE day I decide to it rains(ok I am done cause we sod farm families NEED rain)!!  Have I mentioned that our son finds the ONLY mud hole on the farm and jumps up and down screaming until he is covered in mud(Can I have that rubber room now?? PLEASE????)!!  Luckily we caught him before he  was totally covered!!  I was telling my grandma that I finally got done cleaning the carpets, and she just laughed at me and says(gotta love grandMA ism's):  Well BACK IN THE DAY(REALLY grammy?? LOL LOL LOL) it took a lot longer to keep our floors clean(mind you in like 1940 or something) cause we didn't have machines to do it(OMG I would have NEVER survived)!!  Speaking of machines... HOW IN the all that is holy did they survive with NO microwave??????  Ok that is all!!!  

A little over a month

Well as I sit here and write this I am almost in tears.  This summer has went way to fast, and our baby boy starts pre-K!  I am not ready in no shape, form, or fashion!!  I am almost in tears!  Can I just pretend I send him to school(ya know like when we were kids pretend)?  I know I know I can't but I want to.  I wanna run to the hills, and hide forever!  Ok.. enough of my blubbering!  I gotta put my big girl panties on and face it!!  


I graduate in 1yr. FINALLY!!  It seems like it was never gonna end!  I am hoping it will fly by(ok so I secretly like "school"... OK the school breaks)!  I will def. need another vacation by this time next year!  Hopefully things work out and we get to take a I dunno mini-other honeymoon~adult only vacation to Mexico.  If not we will eventually!  


As my wonderful hubby and I drove home the other night from Branson we talked and talked and talked.  It felt so good to have some great conversation! We are both so happy with our life and it can only getter better!!  I love him more and more everyday!  He is an excellent father, and husband!!  Boy I am lucky!!

Shut the front door!!!

Well it's has been a super busy weekend!!  My WONDERFUL hubby takes such good care of us!  He re-filled the swimming pool for us!!  Yay!! We watched Oilton fireworks, church, Wal-Mart(I think I live there), and now home relaxing!  We may try and sneak in a nap today!

Sitting here thinking about all the times my parents would tell us things like:  Shut the front door!  We don't want to air condition the outside.  Or you do the same things your mom does when you clean, cook, etc.  Well I had eaten a cupcake(shhhh don't tell anyone) and I asked Luke to tell me if I had icing on my face.  He said oh ya mom wait.  He turns my head licks his thumb, and wipes it off(OH MY GOODNESS)!!  I am not saying this is a bad thing!  I have picked up some great things from my parents!!  In leu of an anniversary for my best friend and my sister(in-law) mothers passing please DON'T EVER take for granted any time with the people who you care about the most!!  Always tell them you love them, and never ever for get to thank them for making you who you are today!!  Have a good Sunday!!

A little bit of this; A little bit of that

Well it has been almost a month since I last posted.  Man I have been busy!  I am still babysitting, taking care of grandma, helping with my aunt as much as I can, and trying to keep my sanity(which has been a little hard lately)!  But, I thank God everyday for the time I get to spend with my family/friends!

On this note! It's hot out here in sod farm land, and frankly everywhere!  Irrigating, irrigating, and more irrigating has what's been happening!  The boys all need a break from the heat!  But, as I sit here and type in my air conditioned house the boys drive by in a cloud of dust!  We NEED rain!  Rain makes corn, and corn makes whiskey~~UH oh um, ok!  We leave next Friday for Branson!  We are beyond ready(like since March).  Swimming, go-karts, mini-golf, bumper boats, eating junk food, and yes I dare to say it a NAP!!!  We aren't braving Silver Dollar City this trip because well Luke isn't old enough to remember it yet!  If we get to go back in September we will probably go then(this is my excuse until then)!  2 of my friends and their children were there this week, and he puts it so well: he needs to invent a motorized cart of some sort to ride, and push the kids with!  Those hills are killer!!  LOL

I have so much to say but, stuff needs done!!  Off to print a recipe for the perfect iced coffee according to The Pioneer Woman!!  hehehehehe

We bought a pool!

Here lately I feel like saying we bought a zoo!!  It's been crazy around here.  After last weekend I am counting every blessing I have!!   We bought a pool a little pool but a pool.  When you live on a farm you have well water.  Therefore you have to get water elsewhere for the pool.  Also, the leveling of the ground is not going to be easy!!  With that being said.  I am still excited that I don't have to drive anywhere to go swimming!! And, the kiddos have a place to stay cool and be outside!!  Having 2 children in the house has been fun, but tiring!!! There is extra messes, and so on!!

So, Saturday evening I get a call from my parents asking me where we all were all at.  I knew something was wrong so I was very quick to tell her where we all were.  If I haven't said we own some land on the river.  About a mile down the pasture.  So she proceeded to tell me there was a person that supposedly drowned in the river.  She said that my brother is on his way home to put the airboat in the water and help them rescue the victim.  So, I get my rubber boots on, and load Luke up on the 4-wheeler and we head to the barn.  If anything we could open gates for the rescue teams to get down to the river.  Ended up driving my brothers truck and he took the airboat down.  After him and my dad got in the water he met the team half way and brought them back to river bank.  The man was in his 40's and had been drinking(mixing alcohol and water doesn't mix well), and diving in waste deep water, and hit his head.  I am sure he broke his neck.  They did CPR, and pushed meds.  I am confident in saying that was the only thing that kept him alive at that point.  He wasn't good at all!  I feel so sorry for his family.  I hope he made it, but don't know his name, or where he was flown to to be able to check. And, the law enforcement and others aren't allowed to tell.  The helicopter tried to land out here, but had some mechanical issues and had to leave. It's hard to see stuff like this, but the rescue teams were excellent!!  I have been in the medical/law enforcement field since I was in high school.  I have seen so much so I knew what to expect.  Not saying it is easy to take at all.  Well I needed to get that off my chest!!  Have a great week!!!

Girls, Girls... GIRLS I said!!

SOOOOO.... Babysitting a little girl has changed my life(not joking like at all).  You all have to remember I am a country girl( NO accident).  Which means what you say?  I am NOT girly, not now, not ever!  Well if I absolutely have to be I will(being forced in other words)!!  


On that note.  My niece is spending a few days with us.  They are getting to be girly girls.  And, I can handle that.  They tell me what they want etc., and it happens.  So having a almost 2yr. old girl around  is VERY VERY VERY different.  We went on an outing today.   My first outing with me being the only adult there(scary stuff).  I know this all sounds crazy, but I have a 100% country boy 4yr. old.  I got boys down to a tee.  Trucks, trailers, wheels, boats, deer hunting, fishing boys!!!  I am the only girl.  Man O MAN!!  We ventured to old navy today.  Thanks to my niece I have had some help(not sure I could have survived w/o).  Not sure how my momma had 4 of us..EEEKKKK  Anyhoooo  Luke wanted trucks, and Kynnadi wanted shoes.  SHOES???? SHOES???  What do I do with PINK SHOES???  Not cowboy boots... Holy cow... She threw a ring tailed fit for shoes!!  OMG!!!  Yep it floored me!!!! I will never be the same!!  LOL 


Sitting here writing this my boy is playing with his cousin(Hannah).  He loves "his gurls" he has 3 of them(Hannah, Meghan, Josie).  They are NOT his Uncle Pj & Aunt Erins girls.. they are his gurls(very redneck sounding)!  I get up to use the restroom, walk in and my child has thrown an entire NEW roll of toilet paper in the toilet, took it out, and laid on the counter.  In questioning him about this he said "it was cool mom"... LORD help me!!!  ***SIGH***  Guess I better go get the kitchen cleaned up/put up, and get ready for tomorrow!!!!  GIRLS...GIRLS....and 1 boy!!!!

The weekend so far!

This last 2 weeks have been a blur.  But, yesterday started off an amazing weekend.  One of my close friends graduated from high school, and won a Lexus and a $25,00 dollar scholarship.  Her parents had a cake party(which was a great idea).  Today started at and I was running till about 20 minutes ago.  My brother's wedding reception was tonight, and it is was the prettiest reception I have ever been to.  The food was amazing... the wine(SAY WHAT) was great.  Watching people from church drink it was classic.  My momma was a little disturbed about it.. but it wasn't her reception, and it was a great starter for a conversation.. LOL LOL LOL

Saw people whom I haven't seen in years.  Most were my brother's best friends from high school.. Can't believe they are "all grown up" now.  Luke had cake for supper(yes mother of the year award goes to me)!!  There was an entire pig(kinda creepy), and all the fixins.  Am I random(don't answer that).  Now fixing to go put my feet up, and doze off to sleep!!

I hate mice!  I live on a farm, and I hate mice.  They scare me, they are nasty, they are evil, and they make me crazy!!!  We have to put mice poison down, and eventually we get one that actually dies inside the house.  So, last night we(being my husband, and me standing at the front door) found one behind the oven.  It smelled horrible, I almost puked, I gagged, I ran like a little girl!! My brothers used to chase me with the dead ones when I was a kid(before mice poison).  I locked myself in the bathroom, and screamed when they would try and shove them under the door.... I am scarred for life..

Dr. Pepper calms me!

Well this week so far has been great!!  God is opening doors right and left for us, and we couldn't be anymore grateful as we are now.  We just have to stick out 1 more year of school for me!!  EEKK.. can't believe it's so close!!  


Have I mentioned that I have an addiction to purses, and I have never admitted this part before:  Shoes.. OH MY I can't believe I just said that!!  I have never been big on fashion, etc... oh sigh... So, I am selling some of them all.. Separation  anxiety is taking over me today... yes I admitted that too.  I might have to a Dr. Pepper to get over it and possibly some chocolate!!!  


My brother is getting married tomorrow.  And, the reception will be the 19th.  Everyone on the farm is stressed.  Which in turn is making me stressed.  I am so glad to have such a wonderful person become family!!  I now have 2 wonderful sisters!!  !!  Although this isn't as normal as far as weddings.  And, I am ok with that.. Wedding with just the parents there, and then reception following week for everyone.  I can handle that.  But, since my yard is technically the first yard people see I am flipping out!!  I am becoming crazy person.  #1.  I don't grow things well.  So I have to get the flowers bought, and planted like the day before so they don't die.  #2.  My momma is stressed out.  And, it makes me stressed!  If she would just listen to me, and relax a little it would be better or let me help!!!  SIGH...   And, I probably need to go get a spray tan or something.  I have a bit of a farmers tan.. Have I mentioned I still haven't purchased clothes for this event!  EEEKKKKKKKKKK  I might have to have one of my friends rescue me!!  But, she works night!!!

Kids

Well as I watch the kids play this morning, I realize exactly how fortunate we are to have grandparents and family help watch our son.  1st thing I learned this morning is that Luke doesn't like to share.  In no shape form or fashion.  I am watching a friends little girl, and he does NOT like to share.  This is a learning experience for both kids.  She is sweet, and Luke is sweet.. but together they torment each other.  Kinda funny actually.  


Luke heard the sod trucks rolling out this morning, and he was mad.  He loves to go, help, watch, boss(not sure where he gets that.. hehehe), and most of all help his Pa.  Yes he calls my parents Ma and Pa.. Yes it's country 100%!!  I love it, and find humor in it.  Ma didn't want to be called anything but grandma, and yep that didn't happen, and it's funny.  My brother and his wife had a little boy in September, and he is the sweetest thing ever.  They live in Dallas while Mark goes to Chiropractor school.  I hate it, I miss them, I am ready for his time to be done so they can come home to stay!!!  Well kids are calling me... 

The beginning!!!

This whole blog thing is something very new for me!  As you see by the title, I live on a sod farm owned by my parents.  It's run by all of us.  We take calls, the boys mow, weed eat, irrigate, fix things, fight with the cattle(yes I said cattle), fight with the pond which is over ran with moss, fix things, and on the fun days the boys noodle, play on the air boat(yes it's a blast), fish, fish, fish, deer hunt, fish, deer hunt, fish, and with our little boy we kill gophers(yes gophers), they are evil, they kill our grass, and that's not good.  Yes we drink sweet tea sitting on our porch while the kids play in the water and whatever else they can get dirty doing.  Have I mentioned I am a full-time college student, and just started babysitting a friends little girl, along with our 4yr. old.  Yes I am crazy, and I love it!  If I am not pressed for time, I could NOT survive the day!  My house isn't the spotless clean you city folk are used to.  I live on a sod farm.....it's dirty, muddy, wet, hot, crazy busy, smelly...BUT I WOULDN'T CHANGE IT FOR ANYTHING!!  


Now a little about me...just me.....  I am loud, outspoken, love to talk, love to take pictures(but not real good at it), goofy, accident prone(not good on a farm), I am random, love love love to cook(The Pioneer Woman completes me), have I mentioned I love to cook?  I watch cheesy tv shows(as my dad says 30 minutes of stupidity), it's mindless tv and I love it.  HGTV is what I fall asleep to just about every night.  I love horses, cattle, puppies, and flowers.... oh flowers.... I love them but I don't do so well growing them.. I forget, over water, not water at all, but they are purty!!!  I say yes ma'am, no ma'am, yes sir, no sir, I say ya'll, and I am country to the bone!!!  I love basketball, baseball, and football!  I am a huge OU fan, the hubby and son are OSU fans.. In order for their to be some peace in my house hold I must attend at least one OSU sporting event per year.. this year was 2( I am ashamed of myself)!!

So, if and when my family and friends gets wind of this... well they are going to laugh at me.. but I don't' care.. I love to TALK... Imagine that.. So for now I am going to enjoy some lazy time!!  G'night Ya'll
